We have to ‘tip our hats’ to the officers in York Region, for coming up with this. As a new way to combat distracted driving, they are taking to public transit, to spot people talking/texting on their phones while behind the wheel. And, it seems to be working! As we know, most drivers become VERY aware of the rules, when a police vehicle is in the vicinity, but, no one is expecting an officer to be on the BUS next to them! Have a look at the video, showcasing just how far York Region is willing to go, to help keep our roads safer! (well done, YRP! Well done!)
