VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – It was definitely a night a 12-year-old Vancouver girl will never forget.

Victoria Anthony is still in shock after singing for P!nk during the singer’s stop at Rogers Arena on Saturday night.

Victoria says she has always loved P!nk and after gaining some confidence recently performing she joked around with her mom she’d like to actually sing with Grammy award winner.

“She said anything is possible. She helped me a little with bit with the technical stuff and, well, clearly it worked and she was right.”

Victoria attended the concert with her parents and some friends. She also held a sign in hopes of getting P!nk’s attention and it worked.

“I was on the floor like right next to the stage and there was a break between her songs, she was getting ready to do an unplugged version of a song and she was looking at people and talking with them and then she walked by me and I was like, ‘Oh man! She missed me.’ But then she came right back and she’s like, ‘Are you Vic? The one from the news?’ And I was kind of like freaking out and she said, ‘Do you want to sing with me?’ And I was like, ‘Of course I want to sing with you.'”

Victoria, who sang the song “Perfect,” explains it was difficult to get up on stage so the singer went to her.

“We were singing face to face and it was really, really stressful but amazing. I was terrified but it was an amazing experience.”

Once she finished singing, P!nk leaned in for a hug and we asked her what the singer said to her.

“First she said, ‘You’re amazing,’ and that was awesome, but then she said, ‘Never stop,’ and I’m going to take that with me wherever I go.”

The Vancouver elementary school student isn’t sure if she’ll sing with P!nk again or any other performer when they roll into town. “I don’t know. I haven’t really thought of that yet. It’s possible, I guess. I think for P!nk it was really special because of timing and I love her so much. She’s such an incredible role model to me.”

Victoria says her friends didn’t know she liked to sing, only showcasing her secret abilities at a recent talent show, but now the word is out. “My text messages are going crazy right now. Everyone’s like, ‘Oh my God! It’s so cool.’ It’s really amazing.”

She’s resting her voice for the rest of the weekend while riding a high she never thought she’d accomplish.
