The year of 2020 has been like no other, and unfortunately, many of our city’s beloved summer events have been cancelled.  During these crazy times, its still important that we feel connected to our community and find new ways to keep that connection strong.  The Toronto Caribbean Carnival is trying something new this year to keep the celebration alive while remaining safe during a global pandemic.  The carnival is going virtual so Toronto can still enjoy the music, colours and celebrate Caribbean culture from the comfort of your own home!  Get in on some of the festival’s fun with some of carnival’s weekly virtual events like Wellness Wednesday – IslandWukout, where you can get in shape just in time for the virtual parade, and of course main event happening on August 1st.  Watch the 53rd Annual Toronto Caribbean Carnival online or join the zoom party to show your beautiful costumes. Kick off your Caribbean celebrations with tropical sounds and vibes from the incredibly talented saxophonist Jay Smooth!  The saxophone never sounded so beautiful! Put on your bright colours, turn up your speakers and let Jay Smooth virtually bring you around our beautiful city with the video below for a pre-parade jam!
