5 Things to do in the GTA This Weekend

By Nicolina Moscati

Another week means another list of things to do in the GTA! This week you can hang out with puppies or the Easter bunny, play some NERF games or hockey, and taste food from all around the world right here in the GTA!

  1. Meet the Easter bunny at Cloverdale Mall

Cloverdale Mall in Etobicoke is hosting a variety of programming for Easter this weekend including a meet-and-greet with the Easter bunny, a gardening workshop, and an Instagram contest for a gift basket valued at $200. Reserve your time and find more information here.

  1. Ease your stress with puppy yoga

On Saturday April 9th, the Canadian Yoga company Yoga Kawa will be running Yoga classes with puppies! While you stretch and relax, 4 or more puppies will roam around the classroom and stop by your mat for some cuddles. Classes are open to those 12+ years old and any skill level.

  1. Get your game on at Square One

GYGO! (“Get Your Game On”) is a new family entertainment centre in Square One in Mississauga. Their current attraction is NERF Challenge, a NERF playground with thousands of blasters and darts, and a ton of challenges and games. Entry is free and then you must pay for credits to play the challenges.

  1. Shoot for the stars

The Howe Gretzky Exhibition at the Hockey Hall of Fame pays homage to some of the most prolific scorers ever with rare artifacts and personal memorabilia. This interactive exhibit even allows you to try your hand at goaltending, shooting, play-by-play calling, and hosting your own sports broadcast.

  1. Try food from around the world

Yelp Toronto is running a series of free events called “Global Goodies” featuring cultural sweets and flavours from around the world. To attend, you must create or have a Yelp account, and then RSVP to the individual events that are being hosted at a variety of locations across the city until April 30th.
