Maple Syrup in the Park – Terra Cotta

Come out and explore Terra Cotta Conservation Area this spring at our maple syrup event. Enjoy tour maple syrup demonstrations, take a walk through Tales on the Trail, learn from Indigenous partners and more!
Don’t forget to take some maple treats home with you, available for purchase in our Park Store!

Daily Programming:

  • Interpretive tour: Sweetwater Discovery, Settled into Spring, The Tool Shoppe, The Sugar Shack and Changing Seasons
  • Scavenger hunt
  • Family activities
  • Tales on the Trail
  • Taffy (additional cost)
  • Pancake House (additional cost)

Special Programming:

  • Blacksmith demonstration, March 13 to 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Indigenous Teaching:
    • Opening ceremony with Elder Gary Sault, March 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
    • Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, March 11 and 12 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    • Grandmother’s Voice, March 18, 19, 25 and 26 from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Admission to the park and trails until 5:30 p.m.

 

HER MARKET

A pop up market for women owned businesses in the city of Toronto. Come join and shop with 70+ women owned businesses. First 30 guests will receive a swag bag with goodies. Live DJs, photo booth, drinks, donation drive etc. Located downtown at 1153 Queen St West, Toronto ON. Prime downtown location across from The Drake Hotel. This two day weekend pop up will be a fun day of networking & supporting small businesses.

We will be having a donation drive for a local shelter for youth facing homelessness. Please donate the following items: toothpastes, toothbrushes, soaps, deodorants, and sanitary products. All donations will be given to Eva’s – a shelter and a transition home for youth facing homelessness.

 

Spring Arts Fair 2023

This is an One-Day Arts Fair. Join us to meet and shop with a variety of local artisans. We also have live music.. It’s a wonderful opportunity to pick up gifts for upcoming Spring holidays, such as Easter and Mother’s Day! Free Admission & Parking – Open to All.

The 2023 National Blind Hockey Tournament Returns to Toronto
Event will set a record for participation with 165 players competing in six divisions including: Children, Youth, Low Vision & Development, Open, Women’s, and Canada vs USA.

Canadian Blind Hockey is thrilled to announce that the 2023 Canadian National Blind Hockey Tournament is happening March 24-26 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto.

The tournament will set a record for participation with 165 players competing in six divisions including: Children, Youth, Low Vision & Development, Open, Women’s, and Canada vs USA with players coming from across Canada, the United States, and Europe.
