According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix released the official trailer for Leave the World Behind on Tuesday (October 24th), starring Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke, Kevin Bacon, Mahershala Ali, and Myha’la Herrold. The apocalyptic thriller, based on the novel by Rumaan Alam, features a couple played by Roberts and Hawke, who rent a luxurious house “out by the beach,” when a couple played by Ali and Herrold return to the house, claiming it is theirs. With cyberattacks happening across the country, “the two families reckon with a looming disaster that grows more terrifying by the minute, forcing everyone to come to terms with their places in a collapsing world,” according to the logline. The film will be released in theaters on November 22nd, and it will hit the streaming platform on December 8th.
