Pride Toronto is celebrating their 40 year Anniversary, and although the celebrations will look a little different from what we’re used to, that’s what Pride is all about – celebrating our differences.  This year’s events will be online – once again – to ensure everyone is safe with proper physical distancing.

Beauty in our History is a celebration of the history of our varying and diverse communities. Learn about American Sign Language, traditional South Asian attire and the significance of cultural hairstyles in a 4 part series: ASL with Gaitrie Persaud-Dhunmoon, Desi Attire with Mango Lassi, My Two Spirit Identity with Kai Potts, and Locs with Safiya.

To continue with the various Pride activities, Pride Toronto has also set up weekly events that focus on the interaction within the community. Some examples of these events would be a Human Rights Series, LGBT2Q + Trivia, Artist How to Workshops, Movers and Shakers, and several other community based programs.

Starting June 27, the Pride Parade will commence at 2pm! It will include special guests: Priyanka, Allie X, DJ Kow, Gary Beals, iskwe and Nathan Nichols! Watch here.
