5 Exciting Things to do in the GTA This Weekend

This week is St. Patrick’s Day and the start of spring! There are a variety of exciting outdoor and indoor activities happening throughout the weekend to celebrate. From parades and movies to shows and conventions, you can:

  1. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

The Toronto St. Patrick’s Parade is making a comeback after being cancelled for 2 years. The large celebration of Irish culture will be held on Sunday March 20th, starting at 12:00pm sharp. The parade begins at the corner of St. George and Bloor Street West, and will end at Nathan Phillips Square. The full route can be found here!

  1. Embrace your inner fan

This Friday, March 18th to Sunday, March 20th is Toronto’s very own Comicon! Taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, this epic event combining comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming is sure to have something for the fan inside of you.   1. Do some spring cleaning for a good cause

The BMO located inside Stackt Market at Bathurst and Front is holding a donation drive to help citizens of Ukraine through this extremely difficult time. From March 11th to 31st, bring in something from their list of accepted goods like footwear, bedding, or towels and receive a free drink from Milky’s coffee shop, courtesy of BMO Stackt. 

  1. Catch a movie at Ontario Place

As part of Ontario Place’s March break programming, the Cinesphere will be screening Where the Wild Things Are, Call Me By Your Name, Kubo and the Two Strings, Galaxy Quest, The Never Ending Story, and Big Fish this weekend. Find out what else is playing and buy tickets here.

  1. Experience Disney on ice
