Nicolina Moscati

There are a ton of things to do now that spring has arrived in Toronto! We’ve put together this list of music festivals, art shows, community pop-up markets, and more, happening March 26-27!

1. Rock on at the Jam Fest

The East York Jam Fest is one of the first free admission outdoor music shows of 2022. The festival promises to deliver an exciting line-up of rock artists and tribute bands, performing at the East York Civic Centre Courtyard this Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27.

2. Explore art across the city

The Toronto Biennial of Art is a free, multi-venue event that features contemporary art from around the world. From March 26-June 5, Toronto will be transformed with free exhibitions, performances, and learning opportunities. There are over 100+ artworks at 9 venues across the city.

3. Bring your imagination to life

Starting this Sunday March 27, bring your family to the Gardiner Museum on Sundays to express your creativity with clay! Learn hand-building and decorating techniques in their Laura Dinner & Richard Rooney Community Clay Studio. The attraction is free with admission.

4. Try it all at this pop-up market

If you like food, live music, games, and free admission- look no further than the Spring Open Pop-up Market! This event will feature local women-led and newcomer businesses selling skincare, clothing and accessories. With food from around the world, fairground games like cornhole and giant Jenga, and live music, there is something for everyone this Saturday March 26 at the Scadding Court Community Centre.

5. Take a walk into the future

After nightfall, the Toronto Zoo becomes an immersive futuristic experience called Terra Lumina. Let yourself be transported by vibrant lighting, multimedia effects, breathtaking video projections and an original score to an enchanted world filled with possibility. This 1.5km walking trail is open Friday and Saturday March 25-26.
